Noodle Cart

So we went swimming this evening with the Pote’s.  The kids had so much fun and I think we made the lifeguard nervous.  She is the one lifeguard that will take the time to play with the kids when we are there, but today she stayed awfully close to us the whole time =)

We stayed for about an hour after Erin and the boys left, so we were just hanging out.  You can’t really find any pool toys here, so Lily likes to play hide the goggles.  I throw them and she has to find them.  So high tech!

Riley was very creative tonight and made a cart out of some kickboards.  He was putting the floaties and goggles on top.  He brought it over to me and asked if I wanted some.  I played along with him and told him sure.  He said, “Here are you noodles mommy.  Be careful.  They hot.”  What?  Okay, now my son is playing noodle cart.  Most kids might play McDonald’s or Burger King, but not here in Taiwan.  They play noodle cart.  Then he asked me if I wanted fried rice?  I was cracking up.  He then pushed his noodle cart to the lifeguard and she bought some too.

It’s good to  know that if nothing else pans out for him, he can always sell noodles and fried rice in Taiwan.
