Baseball Game

We finally made it to another baseball game.  It is so crazy that we have been here for seven weeks and have only had 4 home games.  We did end up going with Erin and the boys to meet their friends.  There were 4 girls that came to watch the game because their husbands play for La New.  They were all super sweet.

The kids had a blast running around playing in front of the train station.

Four of us hopped into cabs and headed to the Eslite bookstore.  We thought it would be fun and a nice cool place for the kids to play before the game.  We met up at 4:30 and the game didn’t start until 6:30.  Here they are making a choo choo train walking out of the bookstore.  Notice Riley the caboose wasn’t holding on.  He is such a rebel!

We finally made it to the game and it was so hot!  Erin’s husband Lou was pitching and so was Kelly’s husband Mike.  It was great to see two foreigners battling it out!  Here are some pics of us before the game with the lion and the little 7-eleven guy.

If there were sound with this next picture we would have to bleep out every other word.  They love to play American music here, especially rap and hip hop.  I really don’t think they knew what they were saying in the song, but my goodness!  I couldn’t believe they were playing some of those songs out in public.  Notice the “cheerleaders”.  At least they have on shirts for this picture.  Some nights they only wear those shorts and bra tops.  I guess it is hot here =)

I had to get a picture of Riley in all his sweatiness.  Seriously, the kid just drips when we are outside.  I feel so bad for him.  He looks like he just got out of the bathtub.  If you click on the picture you can actually see the beads of sweat.  Poor guy! But he’s still smiling.

The horns came back out last night too!  I brought them out of hiding for the game.  Oh these horns.  They are so loud and obnoxious.  After about 10 minutes of them blowing them continuously, I had a raging headache.  Here is a video of the horns in all their glory.

I also finally have a video of the cheering section.  We were walking back from getting a souvenir, or something quiet to replace the horn with, when they started cheering.  You can hear the full band and see the flag wavers.  If you look closely you can see that Riley is playing the drum.  Oh boy!  It is so neat.

That’s all for today!  Ricky has practice this afternoon and then another game tomorrow.  I think we may head out to the mall after practice.  It’s too hot to do anything outside!
