Our New Favorite Place

We have a new favorite place in Taiwan.  It is an outdoor/indoor pool that Meggy Mommy found for us.  They took us there last night to visit and help translate prices and times for us. It was so nice of her husband to come pick us up in the care and take us.   I knew that it was going to be a big hit with the kids.

We spent 5 hours there today!  We are all exhausted.  I figured that I better blog now because we will all be in bed early tonight.  Here are the kids outside on this big slide.  The kids next to them our Janie and Johnny.  Janie is 10 and Johnny is 12.  They spoke perfect English and played with the kids all morning.  You will see them in a lot of our pics.

They went down this slide for 2 hours this morning before the outdoor pool closed.  It closes every day from 11:40-2:00.  Then it reopens until 6.  The pool itself is maybe 2 feet deep all around.  It is a nice size and has a couple splash areas that pour water down.  There are two tunnels that go underneath a bridge. Riley loved to hide in them.  Here is a pic of Lily under one of the splash things and a picture of Riley swimming.  That’s right.  He is full out swimming now.  He does great in the pools here because he can touch!

It was so nice to be outside in the sun!  It is the first time we’ve been able to be outside without sweating profusely.  I loved just hanging out in the pool and watching the kids.  They had so much fun.  When the outdoor pool closed, it was time to go inside.  One of the best parts is that there are lifeguards everywhere.  There  was 1 lifeguard in the little outside area and 3 inside.

The indoor area was so child friendly.  They can not go in the big lap pool, but are allowed everywhere else, even the spas I’ll show you later.  The indoor kid section had a lazy river with little floats, a fountain area, a play area with a water slide, and little rubber hoses that you could use to squirt people.  It was so much fun!  Here are some pics from inside.

They even had a concession stand!  It was all in Chinese, but it was a concession stand.  I can point though, and they did have american looking hot dogs.  So the kids each got a hot dog on a stick and a grape juice.  They both crushed so it must have been good.

I cannot wait until Ricky can go with us.  They have got some amazing relaxing spa areas.  There are two bright green spas, one for men and one for women, that is a Chinese herb mixture.  There are two pink spas that are lavendar scented and really hot and one freezing cold lavendar spa.  There are even two salt water spas.  The kids are allowed in them all, but it was too hot for them.  Sissies =)  There is also a huge area that is about 4 feet deep that has jets and all kinds of relaxtion areas.  They even have vichy showers that hang from the ceiling.  They simulate rain and it looks heavenly.  Can’t wait to try them out.

Here is a picture of the indoor area from the concession stand.  The outdoor area is out the doors to the left.
