Ricky has been fishing every day with his Dad this week.  We are so blessed that we came home right in the middle of his vacation. They had so much fun and caught a ton of keepers.   So my question to them was “Where’s the Fish?”

They answered that tonight with a fried fish dinner.  Here’s Papaw frying up the fish and taters.

Here’s Ganny whipping up some cornbread and mac and cheese in the kitchen.  Seriously people, the words cornbread and mac and cheese sound heavenly after two months in     Taiwan =)

Here’s Ricky working so very hard…or would that be hardly working?!?

And then there’s Uncle Terry.  Kicking back on the deck.  Don’t let him fool you though.  He had a mouthful of food here too!

The kids had a blast playing together.  Cousin Ethan was there and Lily loved getting to boss around two little guys.  They played in the pool with some water squirters.  Check out Riley’s rotten face. These were confiscated a couple of times due to the inability to keep them pointed away from me!!

Here is Lily pouting in the pool because there were only two squirters!

Here are Lily, Riley, and Ethan sitting down to a 5 course meal of hot dogs, fried taters, mac and cheese, applesauce, and cottage cheese.  It is so good to be home!! (Lily and Riley would not eat the fish!  Lily LOVES Papaw’s fish, but she was ruined by the fish in Taiwan.  I think it will take her awhile to forget some of the foods we saw there!)

As if a night of fried fish, taters, baby pools and hot dogs is not redneck enough for you.  I leave you with this picture. I’m sure Riley will thank me so much later in life, but I can’t resist!
