Heading to Houston

We finally got the test results today and they were not the ones we were hoping to get.  The 1P chromosome is intact which means it’s not deleted.  The 19Q chromosome is uncertain.  That is why the results took so long to get back.  I guess they had to run the tests a couple of times and for some reason, they could not say whether the 19Q was deleted or not.

So, what does that all mean?   I am waiting to hear back from Dr. Yung on when he needs us to be in Houston.  It means that Ricky will have to undergo radiation and chemotherapy.  It means that we will be staying in Houston during that time which will probably be about two months.  I will update with all the details once I have them.  I am assuming that all this needs to happen pretty quickly.

Thanks for all of your prayers!  Please continue to pray for complete healing.

    Tracey,
I’m sorry to hear that the test did not turn out as everyone had hoped. Ricky remains in our thoughts.
Hannah and I watched you playing baseball with the kids eariler, and was so enjoyable.
Please let me know if I can help out in anyway.

*Oh, and I read your blog about watching Mike cut the grass in the hurricane. Yes, it was very funny…

We will definitely keep you all in our prayers. I’m sorry it wasn’t what you wanted to hear. But you are all doing the right things and God will take care of Ricky and your family. Keep the courage you have so strongly shown and if there’s anything we can ever do, please do not hesitate!

Wow. Your faith is really being tested. Continue to stand strong. God knows His plan. He will provide. Please let us know if there is anything we can do. I know Jacob and Zoe would love to have a playdate before you leave. Love you guys!

    Tracy,

Sorry to hear the test came back the way they did. We’re praying everything works itself out with you guys getting back to Houston. We’re still praying the Lord will completely heal Ricky.
