Happy Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s Day friends!  We love each and every one of you and can’t even begin to tell you what you have meant to us on this journey.  May your day be filled with love and blessings.

I wanted to let you know that the  MRI and bloodwork are finished and we are heading to Houston on Monday.  His appointment is Tuesday morning at 9:00 AM.  I will post an update as soon as possible on Tuesday.  God has put a peace and calm on my heart and his.  We are confident that we will have positive news to report =)

I am so late posting this pictures, but here are they are from the Hall of Fame Induction.  Ricky did such a great job doing his speech.  It’s funny, but I don’t think most people know about his Aphasia.  His every day conversation has gotten so much better and on most days, you wouldn’t notice a difference if you didn’t know him.  However, this speech haunted him for a month.  Public speaking is extremely hard and he practiced this speech three days a week at therapy and all the time at home.  His short term memory is very bad, so he just would practice over and over reading from his sheet.  He ended up doing a great job and was so proud!  Here are some pictures from that night.

All of our friends and family that came to support him

Finally, Ricky giving his speech.

I have to put this pic up and just ask a question of all of you.  Are all boys this gross?  Seriously, just smile and let me take a cute valentine picture.  Why, oh why, must you stick your finger up your nose?!? (Can you tell who already ate his chocolates this morning?)
