Some Updates

Today was a very boring day.  The kids had school.  Ricky had  practice.  We played in the courtyard.  No funny stories to report.  No funny pictures.  So very, very boring.  So I thought now would be a good time to give some updates.

1.  Ricky has still not pitched.  The last full game played was Wednesday night.  They have had rain outs and days off or practice since then.  They finally have a game tomorrow.  I just checked and there’s a 50% chance of rain tomorrow.  Imagine that.

Picture of the Day

This is a bag from the bookstore. It just cracked me up.  Hey, have a brainstorm!

A Lazy Sunday

The team had the day off today, so Ricky let me sleep in until 10:45!  It was a well needed rest and I appreciated it so much.  Then he laid back down to take a nap.  Boy, were we lazy this morning.  It was actually a beautiful day here today and we were going to try and go to the outdoor pool this afternoon.  I called Meggy Mommy to make sure they were open and they weren’t =(  We were so sad.  Hopefully we’ll have another nice day this week and get to go.  So we decided to head over to the Eslite bookstore where we had gone last week.

By the time we got there we were starving.  We were trying to find a restaurant called Cheffresh that supposedly has the best Western food in Tainan.  But we couldn’t find it.  We couldn’t even find anyone to help us find it.  So we headed over to an Italian restaurant across from the field.  Lou said that they have the best pizza, so we decided to try it out.

How Did We Get Here?

Each one has his own gift from God, one in this manner and another in that.

1 Corinthians 7:7

I know that Ricky has been given a gift from God.  He has the talent to throw a baseball.  It is remarkable.  I watch him and am in awe of what he can do.  However, his gifts go much deeper than that.  He is an unbelievable person.  Period.  I am so proud of who he has become as my husband and a father to our children.

With Love From Winnie Mommy

I found out something new about Winnie Mommy today, she is a licensed cook!  What can’t these women in Taiwan do?  She made lunch for all the teachers at school today.  She made chicken curry, rice, and a couple other dishes that I’m not sure the names.  One had some fish in it, one had pork, and one was a soup with eggs and corn.

More Love From Home

The kids were so excited when we got home from the pool tonight to find a package waiting for them.  The Everett family sent us a huge package filled with wonderful things for the whole family.  I am sitting here drooling over a peach cobbler scented candle!  It is so yummy.

Noodle Cart

So we went swimming this evening with the Pote’s.  The kids had so much fun and I think we made the lifeguard nervous.  She is the one lifeguard that will take the time to play with the kids when we are there, but today she stayed awfully close to us the whole time =)

Baseball Update

Since my last baseball post, Ricky has gotten one more save.  That makes him 1-1 with 4 saves.  Saves are hard to come by here though.  Between days off and rain outs, we’re lucky to get in 4 games a week.
